Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens

Pierce the Veil is a post-hardcore/alternative rock band from San Diego, California. The band has four members, Vic Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Tony Perry and Jaime Preciado. Sleeping with Sirens is another post-hardcore/alternative rock band; they are from Orlando, Florida. The band has five members, Kellin Quinn, Justin Hills, Gabe Barham, Jack Fowler and Nick Martin. The reason I did both of these bands on the same post is because they are very similar bands, they have the same type of music and they go on tour together and they even have a song that they made together. The songs from Pierce the veil that I like are Bulls in the Bronx, A Match into Water, I’m Low on Gas and You Need a Jacket, One Hundred Sleepless Nights, etc… The songs I like from Sleeping with Sirens are If You Can’t hang, Free, Satellites, Roger Rabbit, A Trophy Father’s Trophy Son, If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn, All My Heart, Sorry, etc… The song from both bands that I like is called King for a Day; it’s the first song I listened to that got me into this kind of music around 3 years ago. I saw Sleeping with Sirens at Warped Tour but I never got to see Pierce the veil live yet.

Anarbor

Anarbor is an alternative rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. The band consists of four members Slade Echeverria, Mike Kitlas, Adam Juwig and Greg Garrity. This is one of my favorite bands; I like many of their songs because they’re not like any other bands I know, some of the songs I like are Rock to My Roll, Damage I’ve Done, 18 and Every High Has a Come Down, I like these songs because they’re not like normal songs, they’re a mix between cute and weird, its kinda cool. Another reason I like this band is because I remember the summer of 2013 when I went to Warped Tour and saw them live for the first time, it was the first time I ever heard their songs and at first I thought they were so weird, the first song I heard was Whiskey in Hell and the song pretty much talks about nothing but how much he messes up and how he’s going to hell. Also, I remember at the end of their set the drummer (Greg Garrity) threw his water bottle in the crowd and later on I got it signed by the band along with a shirt I got there; I still have the water bottle in my room.

Go Radio

Go Radio is a rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. The band consists of four members who include Jason Lancaster, Steven Kopacz, Alex Reed and Matt Poulos. One of the things I like about this band is that it’s more of a soft rock and calmer type of music. One of the songs I like from this band is “Go to Hell” because at the beginning of the song you think it’s going to be a cute sweet song and then in the next few versus it completely changes direction, it reminds me of a different song I like by Mayday Parade called “Terrible Things”. There are many other songs by Go Radio that I like for example, Goodnight Moon, Forever my father, Any Other Heart, Close the Distance, I Won’t Lie, Etc… In my opinion their songs range from cute to sad but most of them are still really good songs. Another reason I like this band is that I can relate to the songs, the happy ones anyway, because they talk about things that I either want to happen or is happening right now. This is another one of the bands that I’ve seen live, and I have even gotten my mom into their music and she’s now a fan!

Thirty Seconds To Mars

Thirty Seconds to Mars is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. This band has three members Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic. I like this band because they have their fans involved in many of their songs and music videos, in the song. For example, for the song This Is War, they had their fans at one of their concerts make the noise at the beginning of the song. Also, in the video for Do or Die, they had their fans in the video talking about what music means to them and they're from all around the world and it's just kind of cool to realize that you're not the only one that listens to their music. Thirty Seconds to Mars has many different songs that are popular such as Closer to the Edge, This is War, Do or Die, Kings and Queens, City of Angels and more. Jared Leto is the lead singer of the band and is also known for his role in many movies such as Dallas Buyers Club, Mr. Nobody, Lord of War, and more. I've never seen Thirty Seconds to Mars live but if I ever had the chance to I wouldn’t hesitate to go.

Never Shout Never

Never Shout Never is a band that originated in Joplin, Missouri, United States. The band has three members, Christofer Drew Ingle, Taylor MacFee and Hayden Kaiser. I like this band because they have cuter songs than most of the bands I listen to, they stand out from the crowd with their music, Christofer Drew plays the banjo or the ukulele in most of his songs which in my opinion makes them original and more interesting. According to me a lot of their songs are very cute, for example, She's Got Style, Can’t Stand It, Did It Hurt, Trouble, All Mine, etc... Also, on July 5th 2013, I saw them live at Warped Tour in Toronto, after their show I got to meet them and they signed one of the band shirts I bought that day. I like Never Shout Never because some of the lyrics in their songs I can relate to and they mean something to me, we all have songs like that no matter what kind of music you listen to, there are songs that you can relate to. Never Shout Never is one of my favorite bands, and one of the very few bands I have ever seen live (that I like).
